Manifest+  -Cyber-bullying: 25% of youths are targeted, 2/3 of students witness cruel behavior and only 10% of parents are aware of it.  Teen suicides and mass school shootings are becoming increasingly common.  Manifest+ is taking Cyber-bullying head on empowering youth by creating a user driven positive social media platform.  It is a social media app that only allows and encourages positive posts and videos. It's not only an app, it's a movement that will have interactive kiosk in major high schools across the US in the near future!  Celebrities, such as Lebron James, Taylor Swift, and others will participate by sponsoring these Kiosk and to create positive posts and videos for the youth, encouraging the youth to interact with them via Manifest+.  It is built for centennials by centennials.
Real projects, real coding, real Detroit talent!  The Detroit Central High School Coding Club, facilitated by Detroit Sourced (Daniel Pop, Aubrey Agee) is a program that taught youths real world coding, ideation, and entrepreneurship. Four Central High students spent 10 hours per week for 6 months becoming Junior Developers and delivering a product they created, Manifest+. They ideated and used technologies: Google Cloud,  Golang, and Bootstrap 4 to build Manifest+.  With the help of professional mentors, Daniel Pop (lead), Brandy Goolsby and Aubrey Agee, the team showed there is talent in Detroit.  Come see them and hear their story on how they have become junior developers and budding entrepreneurs, Friday, June 21, 1-3PM in the Lear Innovation Center, 1st floor lobby.
